RNS - Buying and Selling Domains

We are pleased to announce that you can now Buy and Sell RNS Domains in an easy and decentralized way through the RIF Marketplace. You can access this functionality on the RSK Mainnet at: https://marketplace.rifos.org

RNS (RIF Name Services) enables the use of human readable names for blockchain addresses helping users to receive transactions in personalized domains. New RNS Domains can be obtained through the RNS Manager (https://manager.rns.rifos.org/)

Through the RIF Marketplace, RNS users can simply list their owned domains and set a price in RIF for each of them (additional payment methods will be added soon!). Buyers can browse the available domains and purchase the one they prefer by paying the listed price. To ensure transparency and provide security to all parties, the Marketplace acts as an escrow, ensuring the domain is released to the buyer only when a valid payment is received. Buying RNS Domains

Follow these steps to Buy an RNS Domain:

• Access the RIF Marketplace. Click on Name Services to get to the RNS Domains Marketplace.
• Choose the Domain you want to buy and click the “Select” button. You will be redirected to the BUY confirmation screen, where you can review the order details and click on Buy Domain to proceed
• Confirm the transaction in your wallet and wait until the required amount of confirmations are received. A confirmation message will be displayed once the domain was successfully purchased.

Selling RNS Domains

Follow these steps to Sell an RNS Domain:

• Access the RIF Marketplace. Click on Name Services to get to the RNS Domains Marketplace. Click on the SELL tab right above the filter panel on the left. This will redirect you to the list of domains you own, that are available for sale.
• Select the domain you want to list for sale and click on “Select”. You will be redirected to the SELL confirmation page where you can specify the Price in RIF for the domain listing. You can then click on “List Domain” to proceed.
• Confirm the two transactions in your wallet and wait until the required amount of confirmations are received. The first transaction is for the Approval of the Domain transfer, the second is the actual Placement transaction. A confirmation message will be displayed once the domain was successfully purchased.
